Thank you so much for offering the spay and neutering program – it is truly appreciated.

Dear Ms. Smith,
Two weeks ago we had the cutest little stray kitty appear on our back deck. We checked with several of our neighbors to see if anyone was missing this kitty, but unfortunately, he belonged to no one in our area. We then set out to see if we could find someone willing to take him in as we were unable to do so ourselves at this time. Luckily, our very dear 85 year old friend made us a “deal” that we couldn’t refuse. All he asked of us was to purchase the kitty litter, pan, food and treats needed to get him started as a new owner of that cute kitty. We were more than happy to do so and to continue to provide these items as needed.
Also, luckily for us, another friend told us about the free spay and neutering program for strays and feral cats in our area. I called your volunteer, Deb Race, and explained to her our situation. She advised us that indeed this program did exist, explained it to me and said she would be more than happy to pick up the kitty and take him to the appointment to have the neutering/shots done.
On Thursday, June 27th, Deb was at our door to pick the kitty up. She took him to his appointment on Friday the 28th and returned him home that evening. You have a gem of a volunteer in Deb Race. She is so dedicated in her volunteer work with the strays and she says she is happy to do it – she “loves what she does”. All the time she spends volunteering, picking up and returning the animals plus working a full time job is not something everyone would do. She is truly a wonderful, caring person.
Most of all, I would like to thank you, for offering this program. It is one of the most generous things I have ever heard of. Thanks to you, “Boots” has a happy home, a very caring “Dad” and a long and healthy life ahead of him – I can’t thank you enough for caring for these animals.
Sincerely,
Sally
