Paws & Claws,
Last week my precious rescued pittie girl, Gem, became mysteriously ill. Dr. Ernst at Parkway Vet Hospital went above and beyond to find out what was wrong with her. After 3 days they offered a transfusion to possibly help her with a very slim chance at survival. At that time she was so critical and I made the decision to euthanize even though the transfusion would be partially funded. It was a difficult choice to make but I couldn’t take that money from the next dog who would maybe have a better survival chance than Gem.
The next day I went to pay something on my vet bill and was told I had a zero balance. I was shocked. No one has ever done anything like that for me. I’ve raised 3 kids on my own, I work 2 jobs, rescued several dogs and bought a house. Not ever asking or expecting any help. It may be what your organization does but for me, you were my angel last week. Thank you so very much. I just can’t express how grateful I am for your help. I’m having a difficult time with losing my dog and you’ve helped make it a little better. Thank you again.
I’m eternally grateful!
Barbara
I miss her so much!
