From her bio: “Lets get this girl a great home that will care for her! She is so outgoing, loving, and just needs a calm and environmentally clean home!
“Penny is looking for an extra special home, most likely one with a sense of environmental purity, because we believe she may have allergies or an auto-immune condition that causes her to lose her hair. She does not usually cause herself much trauma beyond the hair loss, though occasionally she scratches at her skin irritating it. This appears to be partially helped by treating her with antihistamines and steroids, but she does not get full resolution. A true resolution may not be possible, and would involve environmental changes, a food trial, and potentially allergy testing at a dermatologist. Her need for medication may be constant or may wax and wane with severity of clinical signs. She appears to be fairly comfortable in our shelter, but we are alleviating most of her discomfort with medications. We are hopeful that her condition could be dramatically improved once she is adopted into that special home.”
Penny has found her special person, who can give her the environment she needs, and she has been adopted!
