Dear Ms. Smith,
Thank you once again for your generous grant of $2,500! This past year was the most difficult we have had in our 15 years of operations, and we are sincerely grateful for your generosity and continued support.
Because of the pandemic, I have been the sole operator of Freedom Center since last March. I am counting the days until my vaccines so I can bring volunteers back in! As my priority is always the animals, I have been late doing administrative work and getting caught up on correspondence, so I apologize for this letter getting out to you later than it should have been. We are hoping that by the fall, we will be back to our previous environment and caught up on everything from cage repairs to fulfilling internships. Until then, we continue to do online fundraising and virtual events, and of course taking care of all the wildlife that comes in needing our help.
We decided to postpone our calendars last year to conserve funds, so please accept this adoption package as a small token of appreciation. I hope you and yours are healthy and safe, and that you will have a positive 2021, as we all wish for. Your continued support makes our mission possible, and we appreciate your help throughout the years!
Sincerely,
Ruth Brooks
