. As you may have seen in the 2023 Annual Program Report, the SAFER “Cats on the Border” program has, over the eight years of its existence, spay/neutered 3351 stray or feral felines, thereby preventing the birth of millions of kittens; kittens that would have had no future in our communities. After eight (8) years and 3351 cats, Paws and Claws is able to bring the SAFER “Cats on the Border” program to a very successful conclusion! Paws and Claws …

Jean,
Thank you so much for funding my feral cats. I appreciate it so much. I wanted them healthy and spayed before I had a pile of kittens!
That is so wonderful of you to work on the cat population.
I’m glad there are people like you in our world.
Sincerely,
Celia
Dear Jean, I am sending you mountains of gratitude for what you do. Thanks to the kindness of your heart I was able to get my “cat clan” neutered to stop the increase in numbers. I did not ask for them but one showed up and the next thing you know I had many! I will forever be thankful for your generosity and I will continue to care for those that were left on my property unwanted and to starve. …
Dear Jean,
Thank you so much for sponsoring the stray cat program. We own a farm in Rome, PA, and it is not uncommon to get “drop offs”. We appreciate your help creating a good healthy home for these cats!

Hi Jean – Just a quick back story… 2 kittens were abandoned at the end of a dead-end dirt road where I happen to live. I am a “dog person”, even a “horse person”, so had to consult others more knowledgeable than myself. Then I found Diane Oliver and through multiple conversations , determined that perhaps these kittens were meant to bless me with their presence. So, “Kit and Kaboodle” are now residing at my place and are becoming a …

This graphic found online gives us important information about FIV, such as: Cats who test positive for FIV live just as long as FIV-negative cats. FIV is mainly transmitted through deep bite wounds, not casual contact, grooming, or sharing of water bowls. This means that a non-aggressive FIV-positive cat can safely live with non-aggressive FIV-negative cats. FIV+ cats need love too! Click below to see full information sheet: . . .
