10 Cats and Dogs are Killed Every Day in New Jersey – But These Numbers Don’t Tell The Whole Story!
The 2021 Animal Intake and Disposition Summary shows that an average of 10 cats and dogs were euthanized per day in 2021 in our state. The total number of animals impounded was 51,735. Of that number, 34,440 were redeemed or adopted and 3,791 were euthanized.
