There is a knock on the door at 10PM. Three teenagers have found a sick kitten. The next morning at our vet, Little Lil is diagnosed as being infected with 4 different parasites, a respiratory infection and malnourishment. Now it’s off to the eye clinic for diagnosis and treatment of infections in both eyes. Fast forward 1 month – Lil is a new kitten! She’s cured of all her infections and is fat, sassy & happy. The week before Hurricane Irene, a sweet kitten showed up at our house. He was puffy and orange and very sweet. We named him Milis, which in Gaelic means, yes, “sweet”. He continues to be so.
