- Cats who test positive for FIV live just as long as FIV-negative cats.
- FIV is mainly transmitted through deep bite wounds, not casual contact, grooming, or sharing of water bowls. This means that a non-aggressive FIV-positive cat can safely live with non-aggressive FIV-negative cats.
- FIV+ cats need love too!
