Fall/Winter 2024 Issue of Burlington Reports

Can you believe this is our 35th issue of Burlington Reports? Back in Issue One, published in April of 2011, Burlington the Cat was introduced as a young cat. Now, thirteen and a half years later, we’ve seen Burlington’s family grow and change with events such as the adoption of a chihuahua named Jersey; the addition of a cat cafe to Paige’s book store, allowing her to help a local rescue group to find more fur-ever homes for cats; and a move to a smaller house now that the children, Mallory and Matthew, have grown up and moved out on their own. Through it all, Burlington continues to share his knowledge, life lessons, and funny stories with readers.

In this Issue of Burlington Reports:

    • The Buzz About Bees – Certainly among the most intriguing of Earth’s creatures, bees are integral to our own survival, but they also fascinate and entertain us.
    • Burlington The Cat’s Scary Night Out – A visitor to the house accidentally left a door open and Burlington’s curiosity drew him outside, which led to a scary night for him AND his family.
    • Squirty’s Words: How much water should my cat drink each day? – Have you ever wondered just how much water your cat should be drinking? Squirty has some helpful information on the topic.
    • Word Search Puzzle: Names for Groups of Animals – Humans have come up with some creative names for groups of animals. Can you find the 50 names for groups of animals in this issue’s puzzle?
    • Ditch the Artificial Spider Webs This Halloween – Many people haven’t heard about the dangers posed by artificial spider webs when it comes to wildlife. What are some good alternatives?
