Dear Jean:
Your generous donations this year have helped cats and their humans have hope and better lives, kept hundreds of cats out of our overburdened public shelters, and prevented the birth of litters of kittens for which there are never enough homes. C.A.T.S. is very grateful for your support of our mission to save the lives of cats on our streets and in shelters where needed medical care cannot be provided.
Cape Atlantic C.A.T.S. remains an all-volunteer organization. All donated funds are used for spay/neuter surgeries along with ANY surgeries/medical care needed for rescued cats and kittens. This past year has been particularly challenging with the costs of food, supplies, and veterinary care rising. We rely on donations from the public and organizations to continue our work. Our trap-neuter-return program has altered and vaccinated 242 cats and returned to caretakers, an increase from previous years due to a push to stop the litters on the streets of Atlantic City. 195 cats and kittens have been vetted and adopted into caring homes. Our Seniors For Seniors program has placed eight senior cats in foster care with senior citizens, a win-win for the cats and for senior humans. Efforts to help with rehoming of cats when owners are no longer able to care for them are ongoing. Community outreach to help cat owners unable to afford spaying and neutering their cats is also ongoing to prevent litters of kittens, along with cat owners in need of food, litter, shelters for outdoor cats. We are thankful for our volunteers who help in so many needed areas, foster homes, adoptors, and all who provide funding to Cape Atlantic C.A.T.S. allowing us to continue our mission.
THANK YOU for your support!
