42 Cats and Dogs Killed Each Day in New Jersey!

The 2016 Animal Intake and Disposition Summary shows that, of a total of 82,116 cats and dogs impounded in New Jersey in 2016, 52,707 were either redeemed or adopted and 15,340 were euthanized – an average of 42 per day.

These numbers have dropped each year for the last several years. Those are all positive strides in the right direction! There is always more work to be done, however, as long as any cats or dogs are being euthanized!
